BBQ held for volunteers in recognition of their contribution to the charity.
Today, a BBQ was held for volunteers in recognition of their contribution to Bury Drop In. Around 20 volunteers braved the wet conditions to celebrate together, meet other volunteers and enjoy good food. Robert Green, chair of trustees said: “Each session I attend, I am always struck by the scale of the challenges we are presented with but also the power of practical help and conversation shared with genuine compassion and love. Guests often express gratitude even for the simplest act of support. I know that my part in Bury Drop In is just one small part of a beautiful jigsaw puzzle that is completed by all the volunteers, workers and partner agencies and organisations that make up Bury Drop In.”
