Volunteer for Bury Drop In

Become a volunteer with Bury Drop In. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, or give back to the community, there are lots of different ways to get involved. Every role is different, from befriending guests to helping out at publicity events. You do not need any experience of volunteering, all we ask of you is that you are over 18, and are compassionate, identify with our values, friendly and reliable. We provide all new volunteers with a welcome induction which includes information about our vision and strategy, as well as specific safeguard training.

We ask volunteers to commit 4-5 hours per a session on a regular basis. Click here to find out more about our weekly sessions.

All of our volunteers are provided with ongoing training and support, and the opportunity to shadow current volunteers so that you can find out what role suits you best.

How to apply

We are always happy to have a chat with you before you commit to volunteering with us. We invite all of our prospective volunteers to one of our sessions before you commit, so that you can get a real feel for what we do.
