Bury Business Awards – Bury Drop In highly commended for its contribution to the community

Bury Drop In has been Highly Commended at the Bury Free Press Business Awards in recognition of its work supporting people who are homeless and vulnerably housed across the local community.

The charity received the award in the Contribution to the Community category. The award, sponsored by Whitings LLP, Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers, recognises a business or organisation who has made a positive contribution to the local community, making an extra effort to bring the community together or those who go out of their way to help others or a charity. The award is for those who make an outstanding contribution to the community or improving the locality for the benefit of everyone.

Robert Green, Chair of Trustees at Bury Drop In, said:

“We are incredibly proud to have been Highly Commended for Contribution to the Community. This recognition is a reflection of the dedication and compassion of everyone involved with Bury Drop In.

“Our volunteers, donors, supporters and partner organisations all play an important part in helping us support people who are homeless or vulnerably housed. We could not do what we do without them, so this recognition belongs to them too.”

Robert Green attended the awards alongside Bury Drop In Trustee Claire Lockwood, who joined him in accepting the award on behalf of the charity.

Together, we help people rebuild their lives so that no one has to face homelessness alone. To find out how you can support our work, visit our get involved webpage.
