Bury Drop In launches three year strategic plan to tackle local homelessness
Bury Drop In has launched a new three year strategic plan setting out how the charity will strengthen its services, respond to changing needs and help more people move away from homelessness.
The strategy sets out the charity’s priorities for 2027 to 2030 and explains how Bury Drop In will strengthen its response to homelessness in the local area.
The plan identifies eight priorities for Bury Drop In:
- Alleviate and prevent homelessness
- Recruit, train and support volunteers
- Build financial resilience
- Support staff development
- Promote equality and inclusion and maintain strong safeguarding practices
- Encourage guests to take part in activities that support their health and wellbeing
- Develop a clearer impact framework
- Strengthen communication and community awareness.
Robert Green, Chair of Trustees at Bury Drop In, said: “We are proud to launch our new strategy for 2027 to 2030. It sets out how we will build on what we have achieved and continue to support people experiencing homelessness in our community. The guests who we serve remain at the heart of all we do and we are deeply grateful to our amazing volunteers who give so much. We believe this strategy will keep us focused on our core work alleviating homelessness in its various forms.”
