Spring Choral Evensong Service at St Mary’s Church for Bury Drop In

On Sunday 28 April at 4.30 pm a Spring choral evensong service will take place at St Mary’s Church, Bury St Edmunds. The service, led by members of St Mary’s and Bury Drop In leadership team, will celebrate the work of Bury Drop In and raise awareness of the needs of homeless and vulnerably housed people in Bury St Edmunds. The service welcomes a more informal atmosphere inviting families, the local community including churches and members of their congregation, and introducing guests to worship, with the message of hope and love.

Bury Drop In is a Christian Charity, supporting people who are homeless and vulnerably housed in Bury St Edmunds. It provides two sessions weekly, 11 am – 1.30 pm, held at Trinity Methodist Church. The impact of the cost-of-living crisis has forced demand on services and increased the number of people attending sessions.

Robert Green, chair of trustees, says, “We are thankful for our relationship with St Mary’s Church who are hosting the service on 28 April at 4.30 pm as we celebrate Bury Drop In as an expression of the compassion of God.”

The service includes refreshments served before the event at 3.30 pm. The service is open to all. Please RSVP to info@burydropin.org
