Help us to support people experiencing homelessness in Bury St Edmunds this World Homeless Day
In England, 3,898 people were recorded sleeping rough on a given night, a 27% increase in one year. As people still feel the impact of the cost of living crisis, demand for our services rises, placing extensive pressure on us to support people struggling with housing, debt, mental health, and addiction abuse. On the 10th of October 2024, people around the world will mark World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day.
Every Tuesday and Friday, we provide a safe place for people who are homeless and vulnerably housed in Bury St Edmunds to come together for a nutritious home-cooked meal and get the support that they need. Over the year, we have helped support 200+ guests with health and addiction issues.
“I love coming here because I get the help I need with housing and mental health.” Anonymous drop in guest.
