New fundraising platform launched to boost regular giving

Bury Drop In has launched a new fundraising platform in a bid to boost regular giving. In the last 12 months, the charity has seen a decline in online donations; down by 19% compared with the previous year. With the increase of session numbers rising to 28% over the last year, there has been a rise in emergency provisions such as food vouchers, sleeping bags and tents.

The new platform features options including regular giving, as well as one-off, default amounts detailing what the donation can be used for and checkout without the need to create an account. Ally Gill, Communications Manager, says “It costs around £7,600 per a month to operate efficiently. Funding has become more competitive with charitable giving trusts awarding to projects rather than operational costs. The new platform should help improve conversion rates, optimise regular giving, and enhance user experience”.
