Great sadness and loss to report the death of one of our guests

It is with great sadness and a real sense of loss that we have to report the death of one of our guests at the Drop in.

Will Crump, one of our earliest guests died on Wednesday 15th July at Broomfield Hospital where he had been for the past number of weeks being treated in the Burns unit.

He died peacefully with his family at his side.

Our prayers are with his mother and family.

We are grateful, for the exceptional care the Medical team at Broomfield hospital gave him in the time he was with them.

Will was many things and a man of many talents.
He was an exceptionally gifted artist in many mediums. A photograph taken by him could transform an ordinary everyday object into art. (Just look at his Facebook page!)

The numbers of his friends and acquaintances who respected and admired him are too numerous to count.

He will be sorely missed at the Drop In and in the wider community.

‘No Man is an Island’ No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as any manner of thy friends or of thine own were; any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
John Donne
