How your donations help
Steve was abandoned by his mother at the age of 6 and placed into foster care, where he spent a long period in and out of various foster homes. From the age of 15, he became involved with drugs, and at the age of 16 he went to prison for the first time. Steve has spent many years homeless, sleeping on the streets and in hostels, surrounded by drug users.
When Steve was offered a placement at Tayfen House, a hostel in Bury St Edmunds, he had a key worker who gave him the support to help him to achieve and believe in himself.
Today, Steve has got his own place and is studying at college. He has made new friends that care about him. Donations received from our Looking for Change alternative giving campaign have enabled us to buy a laptop for him to use for his studies. Your donation could help someone like Steve.
